Uganda's women's national Kho Kho team made history as the country's first ever national side to compete at a Kho Kho World Cup, held at the Indira Gandhi Stadium in New Delhi, India, from 13-19 January 2025.
Drawn in Group C alongside Kenya, Netherlands, England and Australia, Uganda were flawless in the group stage โ opening with a 45-30 win over England before a commanding 95-20 victory against Australia. The team topped their pool and advanced through the quarter-finals before falling to Nepal in the semi-final, securing a bronze medal in the tournament's first ever edition, which featured 24 nations.

The delegation was led by Uganda Kho Kho Federation president Mustapha Nsubuga and head coach Ephraim Makubuya, with Harriet Apolot of the Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) as head of delegation.
